Hospice of the Chesapeake and its Foundation have appointed eight new members to their boards of directors, continuing a practice the organization repeats most years as part of its ongoing board rotation.
Chris Fedde and Brian Hahn are the newest members of the Hospice of the Chesapeake Inc. Board. Fedde is a veteran cybersecurity executive who founded Hexis Cyber Solutions and led SafeNet, Inc. and Bandura Cyber, Inc., building SafeNet’s presence across the U.S. government defense and intelligence communities; he currently also serves as a Cyber Security Investment Advisor with NextTech, LLC. He chairs the Board of Directors for Partners In Care of Maryland, Inc. and brings that nonprofit and corporate board experience to Hospice of the Chesapeake.
Hahn, born and raised in Maryland, has spent more than 43 years in the high-tech industry across individual, management and executive roles. Alongside his federal business leadership background, he serves as Vice-Chair of the Board of Directors for Partners In Care of Maryland, Inc.
Six new members join the Hospice of the Chesapeake Foundation Board. Dana Bustin owns and serves as vice president of Patuxent Printing, a full-service printing and marketing company in Owings. A leader within the Calvert County Chamber of Commerce, she previously served on the Boots & Bling event committee raising funds and awareness for the organization.
Tim McDonough, the Foundation board’s vice chair, owns TM Designs & Associates, an interior design firm, and has a career background in Capitol Hill legislative work. He brings more than two decades of hands-on experience with Hospice of the Chesapeake, having chaired galas and helped design both the Rebecca Fortney Inpatient Care Center and the more recent Center for Hope & Healing on the John & Cathy Belcher Campus.
David Morauer, a Maryland-based real estate developer and investor overseeing a portfolio of commercial real estate and family business interests, brings a personal connection to the mission — his family received hospice care during his mother’s battle with Alzheimer’s.
Rhosheeda Proctor, employee relations and talent acquisition director for Southern Maryland Electric Cooperative, brings more than a decade of strategic human resource management experience and previously served on the board of the former Hospice of Charles County.
Gail Sanders, retired as assistant vice president of business development at Tower Federal Credit Union, brings a career spanning education, marketing and senior nonprofit leadership, including service on 16 nonprofit boards and multiple community service awards.
Dr. John Weigel, a retired internal medicine physician who spent decades practicing at Calvert Internal Medicine, holds board certifications in Internal Medicine and Geriatrics. He previously served on the Calvert Hospice Board of Directors and the Calvert County Advisory Committee to Hospice of the Chesapeake.
Hospice of the Chesapeake has operated for more than 40 years and is headquartered in Pasadena, with local offices in each county it serves. It is the largest independent nonprofit hospice in Maryland, providing hospice, supportive and grief care services to residents of Anne Arundel, Calvert, Charles and Prince George’s counties.
