CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. — St. Mary’s College of Maryland men’s soccer put 38 shots and 19 on target against Wilson College on Wednesday, and nine of them went in.
The Seahawks scored five times in the first half and four more after the break for a 9-0 United East Conference win at Kris’s Meadow on Oct. 7, their most lopsided result of the season and their second straight win. Seven different players scored, and the visitors did not allow a single Wilson shot on goal.
St. Mary’s improved to 5-7-0 overall and 2-2-0 in the United East. Wilson fell to 1-7-2 and 1-2-0. The win follows a 3-1 home victory over Keystone on Oct. 3 that ended a five-game losing streak, a run that included the conference-opening loss at Penn State Abington.

Five goals before halftime
Junior Nick Haney opened the scoring unassisted at 11:18, his eighth goal of the season. He has now scored in three straight games and in four of the Seahawks’ last five.
First-year defender Elijah Isett made it 2-0 at 22:21 with the first goal of his college career, and the lead kept growing quickly. Haney set up Zach Blaum at 23:40 for Blaum’s sixth goal, then assisted senior Tyler Foti at 28:43. Franco Reyes, a Silver Spring native who played at Montgomery Blair, finished a Lucas Evans pass at 41:09 to send St. Mary’s into halftime up 5-0.
The first-half numbers were nearly as one-sided as the score: 20 shots and 10 on goal for St. Mary’s, three shots and none on target for Wilson.
Foti turned provider after the break. He assisted Matthew Kuwik, a Rockville native from Richard Montgomery High School, at 57:34 and Reyes at 58:51, giving Reyes two goals in 29 minutes off the bench. Kuwik added his second goal, unassisted, at 65:09 for his fourth of the season. Tanner Bruce closed the scoring at 86:02, his third goal of the year, on the first career collegiate assist for first-year midfielder Quinto Barrett.
