A man suffered critical injuries in a La Plata shooting early Saturday, according to a police statement supplied to The Southern Maryland Chronicle.
Officers responding to the 600 block of Pomonkey Way about 1:20 a.m. Oct. 17 found an adult man with a gunshot wound. He was taken to a hospital and treated for critical injuries.
Investigators believe the suspect and victim likely know each other. Their preliminary findings indicate the shooting does not appear to have been random, according to the statement.
