LEONARDTOWN — Holiday shoppers in Leonardtown can turn a weekend downtown into a chance at a prize basket during the Leonardtown Business Association’s Passport to the Holidays Shop & Stroll, Nov. 6-8.

Shoppers pick up a passport at any participating business, then collect a stamp at each location they visit, according to the association. Completed passports can be dropped off at any participating business to enter the drawings.

Prizes are tiered by how many stamps a shopper collects:

  • All stamps: a chance at a prize basket valued at more than $250
  • 10 stamps: a chance at a basket valued at more than $150
  • Five stamps: a chance at a basket valued at more than $50

Three winners will be drawn Friday, Nov. 13, the association said.

Keeping dollars local

The association said the event is part of its effort to promote Leonardtown’s independent shops and restaurants and keep holiday spending in the community. The release did not list the participating businesses or say whether purchases are required to earn a stamp.

More information is available from the Leonardtown visitor site or from association President Jen Stotler at 301-247-7611.
