After nearly a 5 year journey, the North Beach VFD has successfully signed a build agreement with Moose Boat Manufacturing for our replacement fire boat.
The new fire boat will be
- 46’ catamaran style, with a 1500 GPM pump
- two – 600 hp Cummins motors powering twin jet drives
- two – monitor nozzles
- two – SWIT Link floatation rafts, a Davit Lifting device
- state of the art marine electronics.
This boat will significantly improve the marine emergency response capabilities not only for Calvert County but the surrounding jurisdictions.
