On February 7, 2018, deputies from the St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office responded to the 49000 block of Carroll Road, in Lexington Park, for a reported burglary. Upon arrival contact was made with the victim who advised they had been awakened by a loud noise in the residence. The victim then discovered Robert Francis Wayne Bridgett, age 28, of Lexington Park, inside of their residence. A physical struggle ensued when the victim would not comply and give Bridgett any money.
The victim was ultimately successful in getting Bridgett to leave the residence. The victim then discovered property taken from the garage inside the residence, as well as food items that appeared to have been partially consumed by Bridgett.
On February 8, 2018, Bridgett was located and placed under arrest and charged with the following by DFC. Tirpak; Burglary 1st Degree, Home Invasion, Burglary 2nd Degree, Burglary 4th Degree, Malicious Destruction of Property, Assault 2nd Degree, and Theft. CASE# 6880-18
