Notice is hereby given that the Charles County Planning Commission will hold a Public Hearing on proposed Zoning Text Amendment #17-147, Revisions to CER Zones, on April 9, 2018 at 6:00 p.m. in the County Commissioner’s Meeting Room located in the County Government Building, 200 Baltimore Street, La Plata, Maryland.

Revisions to CER Zone
The proposed amendments to theCharles County Zoning Ordinancewould amend Article VI, §297-95, Figure VI-7, Schedule of Zone Regulations: Town Center Core Mixed Use Zone. The proposed amendments would specifically revise the following standards: 1) Reduce the minimum rear yard requirement from 50 feet to 20 feet for the Commercial Use category (6.00.000), and 2) Eliminate the minimum two-story requirement for the Service-Oriented Commercial (5.00.000) and Commercial (6.00.000) use categories.
Citizens wishing to make verbal or written comments are encouraged to attend the hearing. The file is available for review in the Department of Planning and Growth Management in the County Government Building, La Plata, Maryland.
