In an increasingly competitive world, proficiency in the fields collectively known as STEM — science, technology, engineering and mathematics — is more critical than ever. These stamps are designed to pique the curiosity of customers and feature a collage of faces, symbols, drawings and numbers that represent the complexity and interconnectedness of the STEM disciplines. Artist David Plunkert worked with art director Antonio Alcalá to create these stamps.
The U.S. Postal Service will salute the role of science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) education during the first-day-of-issue dedication ceremony for the four new STEM Education Forever Stamps. Share the news using the hashtags #EducationStamps and #STEMEducation.
