National Volunteer Week begins this Sunday, April 15, and continues through Saturday, April 21. I encourage all Marylanders to take some time to give back to their communities during this week of service.
Recognized yearly since 1974, National Volunteer Week is an excellent opportunity for Fifth District residents to engage with their neighbors. From spending a few hours volunteering at a food pantry to helping to pick up litter and clear local trails, there are many opportunities to give back to our community. I hope that National Volunteer Week spurs Marylanders to get involved and help their fellow citizens in the months to come.
As always, thank you for allowing me to share this update with you. Please continue to share your concerns and insights with me by contacting my office or connecting with me on Facebook, Twitter, or YouTube.
