Prior to the start of the regular business meeting, the Commissioners hosted a reception to honor recipients of People’s Choice Awards and Employee Years of Service Awards.

Commissioner President Guy called the business meeting of the Commissioners of St. Mary’s County to order at 9:01 a.m. in the Chesapeake Building Meeting Room, Governmental Center.

C. DEPARTMENT OF LAND USE AND GROWTH MANAGEMENT – Request for Public Hearing – Amendment to Ordinance No. 2017-15 to provide an Exemption to the Impact Fee Ordinance for Replacement Dwelling Units Under Certain Conditions.

I move to authorize the Commissioners of St. Mary’s County to hold a public hearing on the proposed amendment to Ordinance No. 2017-15 to provide an exemption to the impact fee
ordinance for replacement dwelling units under certain conditions.

A. DRAFT AGENDAS FOR MAY 1 AND 8, 2018

C. DEPARTMENT OF AGING & HUMAN SERVICES – Governor’s Office for Children’s (GOC) FY2019 Notice of Base Funding Availability – Local Management Board
I move to approve the FY2019 Notice of Base Funding Availability Three-Year Community Partnership Agreement (FY19-21), project MD1960,61,65,66,67,88, from the Maryland Governor’s Office for Children on behalf of the St. Mary’s County Department of Aging & Human Services in the amount of $401,718 State Funds and $1,102 County Funds to allow providers to assist children, family, youth, and young adults, and authorize the Commissioner President to execute the related documents.
Motion by Commissioner Michael L. Hewitt, second by Commissioner Todd B. Morgan.

B. BOARD OF EDUCATION – Approval of MSDE Remote Classroom Technology Grant Award
I move to approve the Maryland State Department of Education grant award to St. Mary’s County Public Schools for the Remote Classroom Technology Grant, increase their Restricted Fund Budget in the amount of $15,000, and execute any related documents.

DEPARTMENT OF LAND USE AND GROWTH MANAGEMENT – Proposed Amendmentto the Lexington Park Development District Master Plan Land Use Maps
Commissioner President Guy opened the Public Hearing at 6:32 p.m.

Notice of public hearing was posted in The Enterprise Newspaper on March 30, 2018 and April 6, 2018. The Lexington Park Development District Master Plan (LPDDMP) was adopted in
February 2016. In 2017, errors in the Land Use Maps were identified on several properties. The errors identified have been corrected. The Development Strategy and Concept Land Use Maps
contained within the adopted Lexington Park Development District Master Plan will be replaced with the amended maps to show the properties with their corrected land uses.
Commissioner Guy opened the public hearing for public comments.
