PRINCE FREDERICK, Md. – May 8, 2018 – The Calvert County Department of Parks & Recreation announces that the grand opening of the interim Chesapeake Hills Golf Course clubhouse complex will occur Wednesday, May 9, 2018 at its scenic Lusby location.
Club operations have moved into a double-wide trailer complex that includes a pro shop, snack bar, TV, seating, two ADA-compatible restrooms and offices. Outside of the new clubhouse complex will be a 16’ x 30’ deck and tent with sides to accommodate up to 120 people for tournaments and banquets.
“We hope everyone comes out to enjoy this beautiful weather, check out our new facility and get into the swing of things,” said Parks & Recreation Deputy Director Tim Hepler. Hepler pointed out there may be some intermittent technology issues throughout Wednesday, but the golf course is open and tee times will stay on schedule. If you are unable to reach the pro shop to schedule your tee time, please call the Department of Parks & Recreation at 410-535-1600, ext. 2649.
The original clubhouse, including the former Grille Room, pro shop and restrooms, closed after sustaining significant structural damage during the January snowstorm.
