On 6/29/2018  Governor Larry Hogan ordered the Maryland Flag at Half-Staff.

As a mark of respect for the victims of the senseless act of violence perpetrated on June 28, 2018, in Annapolis, against employees of the Capital Gazette, Governor Larry Hogan ordered the Maryland State Flag be lowered to half-staff effective immediately and returned to full-staff at sunset on Monday, July 2, 2018.

New sources are reporting that after initially denying the request to lower the US Flag to half staff also, President Trump has changed that order to flying the US Flag at half staff.

More details on the duration will be added when released.
