St. Mary’s College of Maryland is ranked as the nation’s sixth best public liberal arts college in U.S. News & World Report’s “2019 Best Colleges” released Monday. St. Mary’s College also ranks 95 on the national liberal arts colleges list, public and private, 109 in best value schools and 89 in high school counselor rankings.

National liberal arts colleges ranked by U.S. News & World Report emphasize undergraduate education. To be included in this category, colleges must award at least 50 percent of their degrees in liberal arts disciplines.
