Fredericksburg, Va. – Sophomore Kara Taylor (Ellicott City, Md./Centennial) garnered Capital Athletic Conference Women’s Cross Country Athlete of the Week honors for the week of September 11. This is Taylor’s first-ever CAC award of her career.

The 4-11 runner earned CAC Athlete of the Week after winning the Green Terror Challenge hosted by McDaniel College. Taylor crossed the finish line in 22:00.00, besting the second-place finisher from McDaniel by 42 seconds. Her placement and time at the Green Terror Challenge were the highest and fastest ever recorded by a Seahawk.
St. Mary’s is off this weekend before returning to the course on Saturday, September 22 at the Shenandoah University Hornet Harrier in Winchester, Virginia, at 9:00 a.m.
