Odenton, MD Sept. 26, 2018- Anne Arundel County police have arrested Edgar Franklin Manning IV on charges of first- and second-degree murder in the death of his girlfriend,  Megan Ellen Burdeaux, 21, of Glen Burnie.

Burdeux was reported missing Tuesday evening and in the missing persons report, police say they were tipped off that she may have been killed. 

Police searched for the 26-year-old Manning and Burdeaux until the were found in a minivan on Sappington Station and Burns Crossing Roads around 3 a.m. Wednesday. 

According to the police report, Manning was in the vehicle with his deceased girlfriend and fought police before being apprehended. 

In the report, police say they believe Manning and Burdeaux had an argument Monday and during that argument Manning assaulted Burdeaux, leading to her death.

Burdeaux’s body has been sent to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner and an autopsy will be performed to determine the exact cause and manner of death.
