Avenue, MD– On December 4, 2018 at 12:15 p.m. a passer-by called 9-1-1 to report a fire. The Seventh District Volunteer Fire Department responded to Hatchet Thicket Road in Avenue, MD with fifteen personnel. 

The Department discovered an unattended RV fully engulfed. The fire was under control in five minutes and the Office of the State Fire Marshal was called to investigate. 

The preliminary cause of the fire is undetermined but the origin is listed as the interior of the RV. The RV was completely destroyed and loss is listed at $500.00
