On Wednesday, January 23, 2019 College of Southern Maryland (CSM) Men’s Lacrosse Coach Steve Campbell share his thoughts about his first upcoming season as the Hawk’s coach when he goes live with Sportscaster Chris Heidel on HerbFM Sports Radio. Campbell will join Heidel for LIVE: Sports Desk Live at around 7:15 p.m.

“Practice started Tuesday and I am feeling pretty pumped about the upcoming season because I can tell coming out of the gate that we have 17 very strong and dedicated players,” said Campbell, who took the position asHead Coach last February. “I also think we have set the Hawks up for several good years of play – between our current freshmen and what I’d call a strong pipeline of potential players I have met during my recruitment efforts over the last year.”

Campbell is also the public safety coordinator for the college’s La Plata Campus and views his public safety role as a benefit to his new coaching position.

“The idea of being on campus and available to the students is a great advantage as far as I’m concerned,” he said. “I also think my role in public safety will aid on the mindset of how I want my players to represent CSM in a positive manner.”
