Waldorf, MD- On Monday, January 28, 2019 a family on Barrington Drive in Waldorf, MD called to report a fire in the attic of their 1 1/2 story single family home.

The Waldorf Volunteer Fire Department responded with forty-six personnel, and had the blaze under control within fifteen minutes.

The Office of the State Fire Marshal was called in to investigate. The preliminary report states the fire started in the attic area, but the cause is still undetermined.

The report lists the loss of structure at $200,000.00 and content loss at $50,000.00. The family was displaced due to the damage and is currently being assisted by the American Red Cross.
