Lothian, MD- A 67-year-old male patient was transported by Maryland State Police helicopter to the trauma center at UM Prince George’s Hospital Center with injuries that were serious but not believed life-threatening. The patient was the driver of an SUV that left the roadway and struck a tree.
Firefighters responded to a reported single vehicle auto accident with an occupant trapped. Firefighters located a single vehicle accident involving an SUV versus a tree with the driver and lone occupant trapped.
The driver was extricated in about 15 minutes. A Maryland State Police helicopter landed at The Show Place Arena and transported the patient.
