Anne Arundel County:

  • Due to the expected onset of inclement weather tomorrow, all Anne Arundel County Public Schools and offices will be closed on Wednesday, February 20. A Code Red is in effect for employees. Unit III personnel must report to their work locations as required by their negotiated agreement.
  • The Board of Education meeting scheduled for February 20 will be held at 6 p.m. on Monday, February 25.
  • Due to the anticipated winter storm arriving, a liberal leave policy will be in effect for all City of Annapolis non-essential government employees on Wednesday, February 20. Essential employees should report as normal
  • The U.S. Naval Academy and Naval Station Annapolis, will both be closed on Wednesday, February 2019, due to forecasted hazardous weather conditions. The Hazardous Weather Information Line number is (410) 293-0032.

Calvert County:

CCPS will be closed on Wednesday, February 20, 2019. Code Red for twelve-month staff.

  • All Calvert County Government offices and the circuit and districts courts are closed Feb. 20.
  • County bus service is not available Feb. 20.
  • All county Parks & Recreation activities, rentals and programs are canceled for Feb. 20.
  • The county’s community centers, nature center, parks, the Chesapeake Hills Golf Course and the Edward T. Hall Aquatic Center are closed Feb. 20.
  • County convenience centers are closed Feb. 20.
  • The Appeal Landfill will close at 9 a.m.
  • The Solomons Visitor Center and Linda L. Kelley Animal Shelter are closed.
  • All Calvert County public libraries are closed.
  • All Health Department offices are closed.

  • Due to a winter weather advisory predicting snow and ice, all Charles County public schools are closed on Wednesday, Feb. 20, 2019. There is a code blue for staff, which means Charles County Public Schools (CCPS) employees do not report to work.   • Naval Surface Warfare Center Indian Head EOD Technology Division
    Command will open at 0900 on 20 Feb with the option for unscheduled leave/unscheduled telework.
  • Town of La Plata: There will be no trash or recycling pick up on , Wednesday, February 20. Pick ups will take place on Thursday and Friday.

Prince George’s County:

  • PGCPS – Code Yellow – Schools and offices are closed. EMERGENCY PERSONNEL only must report to work.
  • Joint Base Andrews is closed tomorrow, Feb. 20, except for mission-essential personnel. Questions on reporting? Contact your chain of command.

St. Mary’s County:

  • All St. Mary’s County Public Schools are closed for Wednesday, February 20, 2019, with a Code 3 for employees. No employees should report to work. Administrative leave will be provided for twelve month employees. Operations and Maintenance Emergency personnel will follow the established protocol. Thank you and stay safe.
  • NAS Pax River will be open on 20 February 2019 with the option for unscheduled leave, telework, or leave without pay. Critical personnel must report to work as scheduled. Check with your command for specific guidance. We will provide an update if the weather conditions deteriorate.
  • All Arc SOMD Offices will be closed tomorrow and there will be no transportation.
  • CSM campuses to open at 12:30 pm Feb.
  • All St. Mary’s County Administrative Offices will be closed
  • Non-Public School transportation will not operate
  • All Recreation and Parks programs operating in the Public Schools are cancelled ? Recreation and Parks facilities are closed

  • The six (6) Convenience Centers and St. Andrews Landfill will be closed
  • All three Senior Activity Centers (Garvey, Loffler and Northern) are closed. There will be no home delivered meals
  • All St. Mary’s County Library locations (Charlotte Hall, Leonardtown & Lexington Park) will be closed
  • St. Mary’s County Circuit Courthouse will be closed

Federal Government

  • Federal offices in the DC area are CLOSED. Emergency and telework-ready employees must follow their agency’s policies.
