SOLOMONS, MD – February 21, 2019 –The Maritime Performance Series presents Karen Lovejoy and The Lovejoy Group on Friday, March 22, 2019 at 7 p.m. in the Harms Gallery at the Calvert Marine Museum. A Tribute to Nat King Cole will highlight the music, the man, and his influence on jazz. Vocalist and bandleader Karen Lovejoy fronts this talented quartet who have been thrilling audiences since the late 90s with lively renditions of American classics. The world knows Nat King Cole as the man with the golden voice that made everyone fall in love. Yet he was also considered a major jazz influence. Fall in love all over again on this musical journey of his favorite hits while exploring his influences on the jazz world. “It don’t mean a thing if it ain’t got that swing.” This performance does!
