The Calvert County Board of County Commissioners recognized the Patuxent High School Harlequins, led by Theater Director Allen Price, for winning their third Maryland Thespian Chapter Select One Act Festival State Championship. The Harlequins competed against 24 other high schools and earned the highest superior score of 94.

In this competition, theater groups from across Maryland perform their best one-act plays in hopes of being named Chapter Select. The Harlequins performed the one-act play “Becky’s New Car” at Towson University and won the fourth theater state championship in the history of Calvert County.
