News Release, Six Flags Theme Park

We’re just beginning our most exciting year yet! To celebrate, we’re introducing more thrills than ever before with new rides, foods, shows, and games throughout the park. Here are only a few of the newest experiences at Six Flags America in 2019.

Maryland’s Only Floorless Roller Coaster
This summer we’re debuting a new state-of-the-art floorless coaster experience. Firebird will take flight with a nine-story drop, two upside-down inversions, corkscrew turns, a twisted airtime hill, and an explosive figure-eight finale. You’ll sit down in renovated trains with nothing below your dangling feet, while experiencing nearly 3,000 feet of smoother and faster maneuvers.

Updated Shows
Our live entertainment stars some of the best performers in DC! Our musical sing-a-longs are back with an updated playlist, our award-winning stunt show features a brand new theme, and there’s an all-new dinner theatre-style spectacular in the Crazy Horse Saloon.

New Mexican Cuisine
Macho Nacho is expanding its menu to feature more options than ever before. Enjoy giant burritos, stuffed with your choice of shredded beef, cilantro lime chicken, or veggies, plus all the fixings. Build your own rice bowl with beans, meat, cheese, pico de gallo, and more. Plus, load our traditional extra-cheesy nachos with all the toppings you can think of, including fresh salsa, sour cream, and jalapenos.

New Shopping Experience
With the debut of our new coaster this summer, we’re opening a newly themed retail shop. Our new Firebird store will feature apparel, décor, toys, and gifts themed after this explosive new coaster.

More Chances to Win All-New Prizes
We’ve combined two of our most popular games – Blockbuster and Tub Toss – and created an all-new combo game experience in Hurricane Harbor. This unique mashup features new rules that blend the techniques of winning each game. You may walk away with some of our newest must-win prizes this season, including new Pokemon and Rugrats characters and bigger plush than ever before.
