Assistance for Families Impacted—The recent tragic events in Chesapeake Beach have led to an outpour of community members, civic organizations and local businesses seeking a channel to help the families impacted by the recent fires. For a FACT SHEET on assistance,click here.
Listed below are ways you can help: these methods are approved by the County and Town Hall. 100% of the proceeds go to the families impacted.
Non-Monetary Donations — Water, shelf stable food, personal care items, etc. accepted for the next two weeks Collection center: Northeast Community Center 4075 Gordon Stinnett Ave., Chesapeake Beach, MD 20732. Phone: 410-257-2554 Hours of Operation: Sunday-Thursday, 8:30 a.m.-10 p.m.; Friday and Saturday, 8:30 a.m.-11 p.m. Household items and other donations will be handled by Southern Maryland Tri-County Community Action Committee once housing is secured for the individuals impacted. More details will be available on specific needs pending those arrangements.
Monetary Donations — United Way of Calvert County The nonprofit serves as the donation hub for relief efforts, working directly with Department of Social Services to provide support to victims. 100% of donations will be provided to the families and there are no administrative costs being applied. Chesapeake Beach Town HallDrop off gift cards and donations for the victims made out to United Way of Calvert County 8200 Bayside Road Chesapeake Beach, MD 20732 Phone: 410-257-2230 Hours of Operation: Monday-Friday, 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m.; after-hours donations can be dropped off in the secure drop box.
Local businesses are encouraged to notify Town Hall if they are organizing a fund drive.Any entity that has set up a drive outside of the above fund drives please contact Town Hall so that funds can be moved to the United Way fund drive. THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT IN GETTING 100% of funds to the families.

April 6 4-6 pm 125 Years of CommunityJoin usin recognition of125 Years of Community within theTown of Chesapeake Beach.Recent tragic events and the outpour of support from Community members encourages the Town to continue with the planned anniversary event as a way to bring the community together in support of those impacted by the recent fires. Please join us April 6th from 4-6 pm at Town Hall. The Mayor will hold a moment of silence for the victims, and to honor the first responders. Continue the Community gathering of support with the ANNUAL COMMUNITY EASTER FESTIVALpresented by the Town of Chesapeake Beach, Chesapeake Beach Waterpark, and the Calvert County Department of Parks and Recreation Northern District. APRIL 13 – COUNTRY DANCE.For a fun time, come to the American Legion Country Dance in the Upper Level Ballroom at the American Legion Stallings-Williams Post 206 at 3330 Chesapeake Beach Road East on Route 260 in Chesapeake Beach. If you can’t dance, teachers will be available to give instruction. One hour lessons commence at 7:00 p.m. followed by dancing from 8:00 p.m. until 11:00 p.m.. NHS FBLA is hosting a Run for Hope 5K to support our community service project “Hope for Hundreds”on April 13 at the North Beach boardwalk from 8-10.This event is continuing to support cancer organizations in Maryland. 50% of proceeds will go to support our national competitors for this year.
