Beach Elementary Educational Support Person of the Year: Aisling Elgesem courtesy Calvert County Public Schools

From Principal Mike Shisler: Aisling Elgesem is better known as Miss E to the students, staff, and parents at Beach Elementary. Miss E has worked as an instructional assistant at Beach for four years, and this is the 2nd consecutive year that the Beach staff has voted her to be our ESPOY.

Miss E has worked for CCPS for 9 years, which included time at CMS, CHS, and SES.

She also has two other jobs. She works at the Tot Spot Daycare center and at the Linemark Printing company.

She has earned her Associates degree from CSM in Early Childhood Education. She is currently working on her Bachelors degree in Psychology at UMUC. Plus, she is currently working on courses to become a registered Behavior Technician.

With the spare 60 minutes that she had this spring, she decided to start an afterschool Environmental Club for our 3rd graders. Plus, she’s been spotted at many of our school concerts and evening activities, and at many of our kids’ sporting events.

Here is how her 3rd graders feel about Aisling:
• Miss E is awesome because she helps us with sounds, syllables, spelling, and whenever we have problems.
• Miss E is loving because she spends her time helping students take apart words and she helps people all over our school.
• Miss E is special because she helps me with math, reading, and writing.
• Miss E is the best because she is nice, kind, funny, and amazing.

Evidently, Miss E is Miss Everywhere!
