Prince Frederick, MD- I met up with friends for lunch yesterday in Prince Frederick. They suggested we go to Nagoya for sushi. Not being a big sushi fan, I was a bit hesitant. I’m so glad we went there to eat! I always thought sushi was just a pile of raw fish and seaweed. The food we had at Nagoya was fabulous! The restaurant (located at 784 N. Prince Frederick Boulevard in Prince Frederick) is in a former-Arby’s, but you wouldn’t know it.

It has comfortable tables and booths and a sushi bar. They call themselves an Asian Bistro & Sushi Bar. They do cover the Asian foods! Their selections are mostly Japanese, but they also have a few Chinese and Thai menu items. I was reticent to try the sushi, so I ordered a Beef and Chicken Hibachi Dinner. The meat was tender and flavorful, and the veggies were delicious. We started out with a couple orders of Gyoza (dumplings, we had them fried…and they were very good). But the sushi…wow!

My friends ordered a Roll Boat. This is any five Special Rolls (cut into eight pieces). They ordered: Black Dragon, Lovely Couple, Lisa Crunch, Crazy Friday, and Hollywood rolls. The presentation was interesting…they are served on a big, wooden boat. They looked good enough to eat, so I did! I can now say “I do like sushi”! Four of the rolls were “cooked” and one was “raw”. Several of them had cream cheese in them. I can’t properly explain how much I liked them. I think you need to go and sample them yourself!

Let me know…maybe I will tag along! I can’t wait to go back and get another boat!
