News Release, Calvert County Public Information Office
PRINCE FREDERICK, Md. – June 20, 2019 – Anyone can connect with Calvert County Government information and services at home or on the go with the redesigned Calvert County Government website atwww.CalvertCountyMd.gov.
The new mobile-friendly design features improved navigation and usability, a simplified design and easy access to frequently visited pages. Much of the site organization remains the same, so it will feel familiar to those who have used the previous site. The redesign makes the site easier to use on mobile devices, such as a smartphone or tablet, and sports a fresh look that makes the county’s most visited tools and information easier to find.
“It is imperative that citizens have the ability to access county government services and information quickly and with ease,” said Calvert County Board of County Commissioners President Thomas “Tim” Hutchins. “The newly redesigned website provides all users an attractive new interface, greater visibility of government functions and will help continue to keep our community engaged and informed.”

Site visitors will find major sections on government, departments, resources for residents and resources for businesses. The site features a “How Do I?” section that provides quick access to various applications, online payments, registrations, public information and volunteer opportunities. The design also ties together the county’s agriculture, animal shelter, economic development and tourism websites with buttons linking each site to the homepage.
The site design was determined using feedback from county staff, citizen responses to a survey conducted earlier this year and data analysis of site use.
