Commissioners to Hold Third Comprehensive Plan Work Session June 25

Prince Frederick, MD- The BOCC previously held a work session June 4 to review the draft Calvert County Comprehensive Plan (December 2018) in preparation for a future public hearing and voted to extend its state-allotted 90-day time period in which to take action on the Planning Commission’s recommended plan by an additional 60 days. The BOCC has a total of 150 days – or until Sept. 1, 2019 – to take action on the Planning Commission’s recommendation. This work session was a continuation of the commissioners’ May 14 work session.

In the interoffice memorandum below( found online), the Board is considering on whether or not to keep the designations of Major/Minor Town Center and Residential. Also, the Board is looking at the proposed expansion of the Huntingtown Town Center.
