The Calvert County Department of Public Safety is hosting free monthly training sessions to better prepare citizens of all ages for emergencies. Training focuses on active shooter, performing CPR and assisting injured persons prior to professional help arriving. For more information,click here.

North Beach Volunteer Fire Department is seeking new volunteers of all ages. Now is the time to become an important part of our community… YOUR COMMUNITY! As a volunteer, you will learn skills that prepare you to help members of your community when they need it the most. Think about how rewarding it will be to offer aid to those who call upon you. September 7 at 10 AM to Noon – OYSTER RELOCATION.CBOCS is moving oysters from the hatchery to Fishing Creek. The location is Marina West. Need 25+ volunteers to load cages, count spat and take the oysters to the creek. Wear water shoes and be prepared to get wet to the waist or sit at the table and count spat. Pizza will be served as usual.
