ST. MARY’S CITY, Md. – St. Mary’s College of Maryland men’s soccer broke into the D3Soccer.com national rankings this week, coming in as the 25th ranked team in NCAA Division III. The Seahawks make their first appearance in the top 25 this season and were last ranked during the 2003 season, where they were ranked 24th in the country. In addition, the Seahawks come in at seventh in the United Soccer Coaches South Atlantic Regional Rankings.

St. Mary’s College is currently 4-0 on the season with victories over Gallaudet, Carnegie Mellon, Bridgewater, and Kean. The Seahawks have one victory over a ranked opponent this season, defeating previously nationally-ranked Carnegie Mellon (18th) on Aug. 31.

The Seahawks will continue non-conference play on Saturday (Sept. 14) when they host the Stevenson University Mustangs at Jamie L. Roberts Stadium. Opening kick-off is set for 4:00 p.m. Next week, the Seahawks will hit the road for two road games at Swarthmore (Sept. 18) and DeSales (Sept. 21).
