(Monday, September 30, 2019) – Tickets for the National Theatre’s upcoming productions of THE KING’S SPEECH (February 11-16, 2020), BANDSTAND (March 3-8, 2020), ROALD DAHL’S CHARLIE AND THE CHOCOLATE FACTORY (April 7-26, 2020), BLUE MAN GROUP (May 8-17, 2020), and SUMMER: THE DONNA SUMMER MUSICAL (July 22 – August 2, 2020) will go on sale to the general public this Friday, October 4 at 10 am.
At that time, tickets may be purchased at TheNationalDC.com, by calling 1-800-514-3849, or in person at the National Theatre Box Office (open Monday-Friday from 12 pm-6 pm and two hours prior to every performance). THE KING’S SPEECH is based on the true story of King George VI’s struggle with a speech impediment and the friendship he formed with his unconventional speech therapist, Lionel Logue. With the Nazi threat looming and civil unrest at home, royal secrets explode around the King as he’s thrust onto the world stage. David Seidler’s original play – which inspired the 2010 Oscar-winning film starring Colin Firth and Geoffrey Rush – will make its long-awaited U.S. debut in a production The Mail proclaims “A right royal treat.”

TICKET LOTTERY
Two hours prior to the above-mentioned performances’ showtimes, individuals may submit their names in person to be drawn to purchase up to two tickets at $25 per ticket (inclusive of all fees). Twenty lottery seats will be available for purchase for each of the above-mentioned performances. Names will be announced 30 minutes after the entry period begins (90 minutes prior to the showtime). Individuals must be present, with cash, to redeem the offer.
