FREDERICKSBURG, Va. – The Capital Athletic Conference (CAC) has announced its weekly awards following the ninth week of the 2019 men’s soccer season. St. Mary’s College forward Roshawn Panton was named the CAC Offensive Player of the Week. This is Panton’s first Player of the Week honor this season and the Seahawks fifth Player of the Week selection this year.

Pantonled the Seahawks with four points and two goals on the week. The junior forward recorded the game-winning goal in a 1-0 victory over York and tallied another goal in a 2-2 draw against Mary Washington. The Bowie, Maryland native now has nine goals and 20 points on the season. Both marks are good for third in the CAC.

The Seahawk men’s soccer team currently sits at 10-5-2 overall and 4-4-1 in the CAC. The Seahawks will be back in action on Wednesday, Oct. 30 when they travel to Southern Virginia for their final regular-season contest of the year. Opening kickoff is set for 7:00 p.m.
