PRINCE FREDERICK, Md. –Oct. 31, 2019–Pet owners in Calvert County who need to license their dogs and cats can take advantage of Calvert County Animal Control’s annual Amnesty Week scheduled for Nov. 18-23 and get their pets licensed for a reduced fee. Visit the Linda L. Kelley Animal Shelter located at 5055 Hallowing Point Road in Prince Frederick on the following dates:

  • Monday, Nov. 18, Wednesday, Nov. 20, Friday, Nov. 22 and Saturday, Nov. 23 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
  • Tuesday, Nov. 19 and Thursday, Nov. 21 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

The reduced fee for spayed and neutered pets is $3 each. The fee for non-spayed and non-neutered pets is $10. Regular fees are $7 and $20, respectively. Bring cash, check or credit cards along with a copy of the pet’s current rabies certification and proof of spay or neuter if applicable. Pet licenses sold at a reduced fee can only be purchased at the Linda L. Kelley Animal Shelter.

Calvert County residents who own dogs and cats are legally required to license their pets. As part of the licensing process, every dog and cat must also be vaccinated for rabies.
