Safe Nights provides winter protection for Calvert County’s homeless by offering shelter in a clean and safe environment. A one-time in-person registration is required each season. December 11- 11 am -12 pm -Winterfowl, Ducks on the Chesapeake Bay What birds winter here on the Chesapeake Bay? Did you know over 20 species of ducks, swans, geese, and loons call our waterfront their wintertime home? Come learn to identify some of these beautiful birds in this indoor program. Wednesday, December 11, 2019, from 11 am to 12 noon we will discuss how conservation efforts keep these migrants returning annually. We will follow-up with a short Duck Walk at the boardwalk on Saturday, December 14th at 10 am.
