LEXINGTON, Va. – The St. Mary’s College of Maryland men’s swimming team (1-7) traveled to Washington & Lee University to take on the Generals (5-1) on Saturday (Jan. 4) afternoon. The Seahawks fell to the Generals by a final score of 159-70.

How It Happened
- The Seahawks captured their first and only victory of the meet when Peter Orban swam a time of 54.28 in the 100 Yard Backstroke.
- Other notable finishes for the Seahawks included: Ryan Akhavan (2nd – 400 Yard IM, 3rd – 200 Yard Butterfly, 2nd – 100 Yard Butterfly), Matthew Wilson (2nd – 100 Yard Freestyle), Michael Zappia (3rd – 100 Yard Freestyle), Orban (2nd – 200 Yard Backstroke), Jacob Rosenzweig-Stein (2nd – 200 Yard Breaststroke, 2nd – 200 Yard IM), Andrew March (3rd – 200 Yard Breaststroke, 3rd – 200 Yard IM), Jack Kennedy (2nd – 500 Yard Freestyle), and Nate Donoghue (3rd – 100 Yard Butterfly).
- The quartet of Orban, Anri Cifuentes Robinson, Kennedy, and Donoghue tallied a second place finish in the 200 Yard Freestyle Relay with a time of 1:33.22.
