February 8 from 6:00 -10:00 PM- A benefit for the Humane Society of Calvert Countyto be held at the North Beach Fire Department. Featuring the HUBCAPS 45th Anniversary Tour. For more information please click here.

February 8- COUNTRY DANCE.  For a fun time, come to the American Legion Country Dance in the Upper-Level Ballroom at the American Legion Stallings-Williams Post 206 at 3330 Chesapeake Beach Road E on Route 260 in Chesapeake Beach.  If you can’t dance, teachers will be available to give lessons.  One-hour lessons commence at 7:00 p.m. followed by dancing from 8:00. until 11:30 p.m…  The Modest price of $15.00 per person includes soft drinks or draft beer and light munchies.   Open to All. February 8 from 1:00 pm- 2:15 pm– “Winter Wildlife Film Series” at North Beach Town Hall. A PBS nature film, Wonder of the Snowy Owl (2016) that highlights the lives of these Arctic Owls. February 8 at 7 PM – Glow Basketball – Middle School Edition at NECC. It’s time to shine! Middle schoolers (grades six to eight) will have an epic evening playing glow-in-the-dark basketball in the gym. Be here as the rims and basketballs light up the night. Oh yeah, we will even add music and add pizza and a drink. $5 per person.

February 9 from 2:00 – 3:00 PM- Fire by Night, Smoke by Day- A free lecture by Dr. Ralph Eshelman sponsored by Bayside History Museum and Calvert Library. The lecture will be held at North Beach Town Hall. 

February 9 – ALL-U-CAN-EAT SWEETHEART BREAKFAST.   Treat your Sweetie to a yummy breakfast featuring Waffles, Ham, Sausage, Scrapple, Bacon, Scrambled Eggs, Home Fries, Biscuits, Fruit, and Chip Beef.   Hosted by the American Legion Auxiliary from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. in the upper-level Dining Room in Chesapeake Beach on Route 260.  Public Welcome.  Adults $12; kids 6-12 $6; kids under 6 free.  Bloody Marys will be available for a nominal charge.  For information call (410)257-9878.

February 12 at 11 am “Animal Valentines and Animals that are Lifelong Mates” at North Beach Senior Center. This fun and fascinating talk will explain how animals find mates. The event will be rescheduled if the weather is poor. 

February 14th Tell someone you love them with a “Singing Valentine”  For a donation of $50 to Meals on Wheels Fathers and Sons Quartet will sing two songs and present candy and flowers to your true love at a place of your choosing in Calvert County. Click here for more info.

February 22 at 11:30 AM- 4:30 PM “Beach Chess-a-peake Classic Tournament”. Beach Bishops chess team will host a non-rated tournament at Beach Elementary School. For more info or to sign up click here.
