News Release, St. Mary’s College Athletics

FREDERICKSBURG, Va. – The St. Mary’s College of Maryland women’s basketball team earned one spot on the All-Capital Athletic Conference Women’s Basketball Team. Gina Seifert was selected to the Second Team in back-to-back years.

The senior forward had another excellent year on the floor representing the Seahawks. Seifert played and started in 25 games this season. She led the team in scoring (14.6 ppg), rebounds (7.6 rpg), and blocks (1.4 blk/g). The Owings, Maryland native’s mark in scoring was good for third in the conference, while her average in rebounds per game came in at third in the CAC. Additionally, her 1.4 blocks per game were the third-best mark in the league. Seifert also concluded her impressive 2020 campaign by notching six double-doubles.

St. Mary’s College finished the season with a 3-22 record that included a 0-10 mark in CAC play.
