Parking Improvements

The parking spaces on Chesapeake Avenue and 1st Street through 7th Street from Chesapeake Avenue to Bay Avenue have been striping and completed. They will begin the process of curb painting for no parking spaces. Work should be completed in one week, dependent upon the weather.


Raising Route 261 between 9th street and Anne Arundel County line

The Maryland Department of Transportation State Highway Administration held a public meeting regarding the Rt. 261 project (from 9th Street to the Anne Arundel County line).

The meeting was held on Wednesday, September 4, 2019, at Windy Hill Middle School (WHMS) from 6 to 8 pm. WHMS is located at 9560 Boyds Turn Road, Owings, MD.

The Town of North Beach has received correspondence stating that pole relocations would be worked on between March 20 and April 17, 2020.


Water Meters and Water Conservation

The Department of Public Works’ staff has responded to several requests for water meter calibration tests. The crews have met with residents, relayed information for conserving water and performed water meter calibrations. Meters were found to be 100% accurate as a result of the tests. After performing the tests, residents found possible sources for water leaks and made repairs.
