Prince Frederick, MD- This morning the Calvert County Health Department confirmed its first diagnosed case of COVID-19. The individual is currently under medical care and is reported to be doing well.
According to the Health Department, the person had little contact with others outside of their family, and all are self-quarantining. the individuals who di come in contact with the infected individual have been contacted and our self-quarantining themselves.
The Health Department believes that the diagnosed individual came in contact with another out-of-state infected individual. they do not believe they have had any contact with children’s schools, or the elderly.
No other information regarding the person, where they live, or age/gender has been released.
