UPDATE 3/24/2020- Due to the shutdown of Government, The Department of Aging and Human Services is asking residents to hold off on donating at this time. They are asking residents to stay at home as much as possible. If they decide to reach out again for donations, they will send out another Press Release with more information.


An email was forwarded to The Southern Maryland Chronicle with items the St. mary’s County Department of Aging and Human Services was in need of. Some of these items are hard to come by. In a subsequent email, they relayed to the individual that one couple was out of food.

Below is a list of items they need for individuals they work with. If you are able to assist please do(These are broken down to individual requests):

Face soap, body cream, toilet paper, paper towels, bread, butter, decaf tea bags, Splenda

Hand soap, hand lotion, paper towels, Clorox/Lysol wipes

Hand soap, hand lotion, toilet paper, paper towels, instant low sugar instant oatmeal variety flavors, bottled water

Soups, apple sauce, low sugar instant oatmeal, bottled water

Hand sanitizer, Lysol/Clorox wipes, dishwashing liquid, hand soap, toilet paper, bleach

Soups applesauce, canned meats, canned veggies, Lysol/Clorox wipes, hand soap, dishwashing liquid, toilet paper, paper towels
