News Release, Maryland United FC

April 1, 2020 – Maryland United FC, (an IRS registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit Youth Soccer Club based out of Anne Arundel and Prince George’s Counties) exceeded expectations when it proposed a fundraising effort to benefit
local hospitals and front-line doctors, nurses & emergency workers who are working around the clock to combat the COVID-19 pandemic.

The target goal was $4,000, but their players and families went above and beyond to double that goal and raised over $8,000. 100% of the proceeds are going to purchase food and coffee from Maryland United families who own & operate local carry-out restaurants.

Deliveries started this week to Johns Hopkins Bayview, Franklin Square Hospital, University of Maryland Medical Center, and Kaiser Permanente -Largo. Next week’s deliveries will include Anne Arundel Medical Center, BW Medical Center, Univ of Maryland Charles Regional Medical Center, MedStar St. Mary’s Hospital, and Howard County General Hospital.
