Our Monday Spotlight is shining brightly on Megan Lee!

Snake arms. Big Momma circles. Mayas. Zills. Curious yet?!

We have selected Megan Lee not only due to her talents in an art form that is growing very quickly in popularity, but also for her love of dancing and sharing her many skills with others.

Find her on Facebook @meganleebellydance where she offers a wide variety of free demos, mini-lessons, and tutorials (sometimes accompanied by a most charming black and white kitty cat). Strength, flexibility, and core exercises are all included, beneficial for most anyone of just about any age or skill level!

A little bit about our featured artist – Megan Lee is a multi-style bellydancer, residing in St. Mary’s County after relocating here relatively recently from Florida. Megan primarily practices fusion, tribal improv, and American cabaret as well as other world dance styles. She currently teaches “Bellydance Basics” and “Bellydance Props” classes at Vertical Dance Co. located in Callaway, and has offered these lessons online since closures due to the onset of the Coronavirus pandemic.

Megan is also part of the Ghawazee Circus Sirens, a local troupe of skilled bellydancers, fire dancers, aerial artists, and more as well as a member of the Zakhara Dance Company, a professional bellydance troupe.

Shine on Megan Lee, thank you for sharing your talents and helping others stay fit while learning new skills and unique art forms!
