The Charles County Department of Health’s vital records office will begin processing birth certificates by appointment only with curbside pick-up beginning Wednesday, August 5, 2020.
Appointments will be every 30 minutes beginning from 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon and 1:30 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. Death certificates can be obtained by appointment only on Tuesdays and Thursdays. The applications for birth and death certificates can be found on the website at www.charlescountyhealth.org/other/vital-records/.
Prior to arrival follow the safety procedures:
· Call 301-609-6919 to schedule an appointment.
· Complete and print the application for the birth or death certificates
· Upon arrival call 301-609-6919 and someone will come out to pick up your application, photo ID and payment (cash, check, Visa, Mastercard or Discover,)
· Please wear a facemask to protect yourself and the staff
