Bay Bridge Update: WB Bay Bridge two left lanes remain closed for police incident response. WB right lane is open to traffic. Delays present.


Anne Arundel County, MD- Overnight police shut down the westbound lanes of the Chesapeake Bay Bridge. It is reported to be a high-angle rescue with an individual hanging over the side of the bridge. No word on the status of this individual, but he/she is still there.

The Metropolitan Area Transportation Operations Coordination (MATOC) Program Twitter account posted the delays this morning:

  1. Why is he “back”? Shouldn’t he be locked up or in a mental institution? 10 hours stuck in traffic. Families, children, babies, elderly. All endangered because of this person? Once I get, but again? Shameful $hit. Lock that dude up and get him some help.
