Thank you for all of your comments, ideas, photos and support!

UPDATE via CCBOE.com: The site is now working correctly. This message is posted on the website.

StudentVue and ParentVue, the online learning management system for Charles County Public Schools (CCPS), is back up and running. Please try to have your child log in to their account to access today’s live instruction. Parents and students may need to refresh their web browser before trying to log in again. The system provider, Edupoint, worked with us throughout the morning to provide us with additional resources. CCPS worked with Edupoint in advance to prepare for online learning and the volume of traffic expected on the first day of school. CCPS will excuse any student absences caused by today’s login issues. We appreciate your patience as our staff worked to manage this situation today and provide live instruction for students. We do not anticipate any more issues. Edupoint has committed to monitor and provide whatever support is necessary to keep our student’s and teachers’ online teaching and learning. We apologize for the inconvenience caused this morning.

Update via CCPS: Both StudentVue and the ccboe.com  website are down. The office of accountability is working with Synergy to correct the problem. We will keep you informed.

On the first day of school for Charles County Students, the CCBOE.com website is unavailable.

At this time we do not know the status of the outage other than unavailble.

The Southern Maryland Chronicle has reached out to the Communications Specialist for Charles County Public Schools and will update when we have more information.

This is a developing story…

  1. Yes, the ccboe worked but then it shut down again.Ugh. Its so frustrating if we can’t even log in and learn

  2. I am saddened this is occurring as my children are/were anxious to start. My daughters camera doesn’t work on her laptop this is frustrating. I have a middle school aged child and he has missed already 1 class so far because of this issue. I think this should have been thoroughly thought out with over thousands of students trying to log in.

  3. Yeah it would be cool first of all if all of Charles county actually had access to a service able to stream 4 to 5 hours a day…. thats almost 100 gigabytes just for that alone for a month…. who’s service has that kinda of data other than businesses…?

I mean tp-link wanted to put a tower up to solve this problem NOT ON TAX PAYERS $$$$$MONEY TO ADD!
BUT CHARLES COUNTY REJECTED THE TOWER SIZING.. BUT ITS NECESSARY TO PROVIDE US WITH DECENT INTERNET.

I AM NOT SURE WHY VERIZON, COX, XFINITY, AND COMCAST HAVE BEEN ABLE TO SEGREGATE THEIR CUSTOMERS AND PICK AND CHOOSE WHO TO SERVICE…. UM NO… IF CHRISSY CITY AND RAVEN RURAL WANTS FIOS WE BOTH SHALL HAVE IT! OR SHUT YOUR DOORS FOR BUSINESS!

THIS IS RIDICULOUSLY SHORT OF MAKING EVERYONE OF US PARENTS INSANE AND FEELING WE ARE WORTHLESS CAUSE WE CANT CONTROL INTERNET FOR OUR CHILDREN! WE EVEN HAVE THE MONEY ? TO SPEND OUT OF OUR OWN POCKETS BUT THE “WE DONT HAVE SERVICE IN YOUR AREA” statement is what we hear…. we pay 3x as much versus city people for the service we DONT REALLY HAVE UNTIL WE GET OUT OF OUR HOME TOWN!

SHOOT JUST TO BE ABLE TO EMAIL AFTER 8 YEARS DOWN HERE IS A BLESSING TO US!

IF YOUR NOT FROM HERE DONT COMMENT, CAUSE I HAVE SEEN AND HEARD SO MANY PARENTS COMPLAINING ABOUT VIRTUAL LEARNING BUT HAVE THE LUXURY OF Fios or XFINITY to be able to even log on is a BLESSING!
AND YOUR CRYING OVER STUFF THAT IS NOT RELEVANT… YOUR KIDS CAN DO THEIR WORK FROM HOME, NOT WORRY ABOUT ABSENCES… SOME OF US NANJEMOY PEOPLE ARE SHOVING 3 TO 4 KIDS IN A CAR AND SITTING IN A VEHICLE FOR THESE KIDS TO REACH A HOTSPOT TO LOG INTO SCHOOL!

SINCE THE END OF THE SCHOOL YEAR THEY HAVE KNOWN ABOUT THIS VIRTUAL EDUCATIONAL EXPERIENCE…. CHARLES COUNTY REALLY COULD CARE LESS ABOUT THEIR TITLE ONE SCHOOL UNLESS IT HITS THE PAPER…. (MT HOPE ELEMENTARY) BUT THEN WHEN OUR KIDS LACK THE RESOURCES REQUIRED TO PASS PUBLIC SCHOOL AND RECIEVE A PROPER EDUCATION…

THE SCHOOL’S TITLE ONE ELEMENTARY KIDS JUST DISAPPEAR IN MIDDLE AND HIGH SCHOOL… FUNNY SMALLWOOD AND LACKEY ARENT TITLE ONE SCHOOL…. BUT YES THATS WHERE THOSE KIDS STARTED AT GOOD OLD Mt hope elementary!

Charles County your HAVE FAILED OUR NANJEMOY AND rural communities for OVER 15 YEARS… BUT WE STILL STRUGGLE TO PAY MARYLANDS HIGH TAXES FOR WHATEVER REASON….

WE WANT FIOS AND NOTHING LESS!

    SINCERLY
    ME AND ALL OF NANJEMOY!
