LEONARDTOWN, MD – Authorities announced the arrest of a suspect following a foot chase in connection with an armed robbery that occurred in Lexington Park, Maryland, on Monday, February 12, 2024. The St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office responded to the incident near 21100 Great Mills Road at approximately 11:28 a.m., after receiving reports of an armed individual robbing a victim at gunpoint before fleeing into a nearby wooded area.

The suspect, identified as 20-year-old Delano Jurail Parham-Nash, who is currently without a permanent residence, matched the description provided by a witness at the scene. Deputies swiftly located Parham-Nash and apprehended him after a brief pursuit on foot.

Upon his arrest, Parham-Nash was charged with several serious offenses, including Armed Robbery, Robbery, the Use of a Firearm in the Commission of a Violent Crime, First Degree Assault, among other related charges. He was subsequently transported to the St. Mary’s County Detention and Rehabilitation Center to await further legal proceedings.

Further investigation revealed Parham-Nash’s connection to a previous armed robbery that took place on February 1, 2024, also on Great Mills Road. Authorities served him with additional warrants related to that earlier incident, linking him to a pattern of criminal activity in the area.

The St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office’s Criminal Investigations Division has taken over the investigation to uncover more details about these incidents and to determine if Parham-Nash is linked to any other crimes. Investigators are urging anyone with information about these robberies or any related activities to come forward.
