
LEONARDTOWN, MD — A disturbance at a business in Lexington Park led to the arrest of a 22-year-old woman on Monday, according to the St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office. The incident, occurring in the 21000 block of Great Mills Road, escalated when the suspect allegedly attempted to steal multiple items and assaulted an employee who confronted her.
Deputies responded to the scene on February 19, 2024, following reports of the altercation. The investigation identified the suspect as Kelli Aaliyah Richardson of Lexington Park. Authorities say Richardson engaged in a physical confrontation with the business’s employee after being caught attempting to take various items without paying.
The confrontation led to Richardson’s arrest and subsequent transportation to the St. Mary’s County Detention and Rehabilitation Center. She faces several charges, including Robbery, Assault in the Second Degree, Resisting Arrest, and related offenses.
