California, MD – The Southern Maryland Bluegrass at the Elks series is set to host the acclaimed bluegrass band, Russell Moore & IIIrd Tyme Out, on March 24, 2024, at the Calvert Elks Lodge #2620 in Prince Frederick, MD. Marking a significant milestone, the event celebrates 30 years of the band’s extensive touring and contribution to bluegrass music. Russell Moore & IIIrd Tyme Out have been a staple in the bluegrass scene for over three decades, known for their original music and energetic performances. Moore, who began his career with Doyle Lawson & Quicksilver, formed IIIrd Tyme Out in 1991, bringing a fresh, vibrant sound to the bluegrass genre. Since then, the band has received over 50 industry accolades, making them one of the most awarded groups in bluegrass history. In 2019, Moore secured his 6th Male Vocalist of the Year award from the International Bluegrass Music Association (IBMA), holding the record for most awards in that category.
