Representing St. Mary’s College of Maryland, Berbakos played a pivotal role in the team’s performance over the past week. In the game against Vermont State Lyndon, Berbakos showcased his skillset by hitting a triple in his three at-bats. Not only did he contribute significantly to the Seahawks’ win by scoring two runs, but he also demonstrated his agility by stealing a base and his defensive prowess by assisting in a double play. The 6-2 second baseman continued to impress in the match against RPI, where he managed to hit 3-for-4 and stole another base, underlining his importance to the team.

Currently, Berbakos is making his mark in the conference, tied for fourth with a total of eight hits and tied for seventh with five runs scored. His performance indicates a promising potential for the ongoing season, contributing significantly to St. Mary’s College’s strategy and execution on the field.

St. Mary’s College, now holding a record of 2-4, is gearing up for their next challenge. The team is scheduled to host York College of Pennsylvania, which has a current season record of 2-1, at the Hawk’s Nest. This non-conference doubleheader is eagerly awaited and is set to take place on Saturday, March 9, at 12 pm. Fans and followers of college baseball are looking forward to seeing whether Berbakos can continue his impressive form and lead his team to victory in the upcoming games.

This recognition not only highlights Berbakos’ significant contributions to his team but also serves as a testament to his hard work and dedication to the sport. As the season progresses, it will be interesting to see how Berbakos and the St. Mary’s College baseball team continue to perform and make their mark in the United East Conference.
