In a quick response to a reported armed robbery, Charles County Deputies apprehended 18-year-old Joshua Dylan Marable on the evening of April 23. Authorities say Marable, from Indian Head, is accused of stealing a pair of name-brand shoes at gunpoint.

The incident occurred around 6:37 p.m. when a pedestrian, whose identity has not been disclosed, was walking along Lexington Drive in Waldorf. According to police, the victim was confronted by Marable, who was driving a passenger car. Marable allegedly pointed a handgun at the victim and ordered him into the vehicle.

Once inside the car, the suspect reportedly threatened the victim with the firearm, demanding the surrender of his name-brand shoes. After complying with Marable’s demands, the victim was instructed to leave the vehicle. Police later located Marable and the vehicle at Daffodil Place in Waldorf, following leads obtained through their investigation.

The stolen footwear was recovered upon Marable’s arrest. He now faces multiple charges, including armed robbery, first-degree assault, and the use of a firearm during the commission of a crime. Marable is currently detained at the Charles County Detention Center, held without bond. Cpl. Bier of the Charles County Sheriff’s Office is leading the ongoing investigation into the case.

The swift arrest highlights the effectiveness of the local police force’s response to violent crimes and their commitment to community safety.
